How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your dose based on what's needed for the pictures. For adults, the typical dose of the radioactive part is between 1 to 925 MBq. For children, the dose is based on their weight.

Method

A healthcare professional will give you this medicine as a shot into your vein. Sometimes, it's mixed with a small amount of your blood before being injected.

Important

Only one dose is given for the test. Your doctor ensures you receive the correct amount.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to sodium pyrophosphate or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, think you might be, or are breastfeeding.
  • Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems.
  • Drink plenty of water before the test and pee often afterward to help the medicine leave your body.
  • For 2 hours after the procedure, avoid close contact with small children and pregnant women.
