How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your correct dose. Typically, you take one 10 mg/5 mg prolonged-release tablet every 12 hours.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole. Do not break, chew, or crush it. Take it with half a glass of water, with or without food, every 12 hours at the same time each day.

Important

Your doctor will determine your maximum daily dose. For pain, it is typically up to 160 mg/80 mg of Targiniq, and for restless legs, it is typically up to 60 mg/30 mg.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to oxycodone, naloxone, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have severe breathing problems (like very slow or shallow breathing, severe lung disease, or severe asthma).
  • Do not take if you have moderate to severe liver problems.
  • Do not take if you have a bowel blockage not caused by opioids.
  • This medicine contains an opioid and can cause addiction. Do not take more than your doctor prescribes.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C
