Tanonalla is a medicine used to treat severe pain and to help prevent constipation, which is a common problem with strong pain medicines.
The usual starting dose is 10 mg oxycodone hydrochloride/5 mg naloxone hydrochloride every 12 hours.
Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not chew or crush it. Some strengths can be split in half if your doctor says so. Take it every 12 hours, for example, at 8 AM and 8 PM, with or without food.
Do not take more than 160 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride and 80 mg of naloxone hydrochloride in one day, unless your doctor tells you a different maximum dose.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Sedative. Reduce the dose already in mild renal impairment. Increases the risk of confusion and falling. Need for laxative is often necessary. Consider potential interactions. Avoid grapefruit. (updated 24.3.2025)
