How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose is one capsule per day.

Method

Take the prolonged-release capsule whole with a glass of water after breakfast or the first meal of the day, while standing or sitting (not lying down). Do not break or chew the capsule; however, you can open the capsule and swallow the contents without chewing.

Important

The maximum daily dose is one capsule.

Possible Side Effects

  • Ejaculation problems, lack of ejaculation

  • Headache
  • Palpitations (fast heartbeat)
  • Dizziness when getting up from lying or sitting position
  • Runny nose
  • Constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting
  • Rash, itching, hives
  • Feeling of weakness
  • Fainting
  • Swelling of the face, tongue or throat (angioedema)
  • Priapism (painful, prolonged erection)
  • Stevens-Johnson syndrome (severe allergic reaction affecting skin and mucous membranes)
  • Blurred or impaired vision
  • Nosebleed
  • Dry mouth
  • Severe skin reactions (erythema multiforme, peeling rash)
  • Atrial fibrillation, arrhythmia, rapid heartbeat (tachycardia), and shortness of breath

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to tamsulosin or any other ingredients in this medicine, as it may cause sudden swelling, breathing difficulties, or rash.
  • Avoid if you have low blood pressure, especially when getting up from lying down or sitting, as it can cause dizziness.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver failure.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have severe kidney problems.
  • Inform your eye doctor if you are taking or have taken this medicine before cataract or glaucoma surgery.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C
