How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 10 mg before sexual activity, but your doctor might increase it to 20 mg if needed.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water. You can take it with or without food. This medicine is only for men.

Important

Do not take this medicine more than once a day.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to tadalafil or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take with nitrate medicines for chest pain, as it can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure.
  • Do not take if you have severe heart disease, a heart attack in the last 90 days, or a stroke in the last 6 months.
  • Do not take if you have very low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
  • Do not take if you have ever lost vision due to 'stroke in the eye' (NAION).

  • Do not take if you are using riociguat for lung blood pressure, as it can lower blood pressure too much.
  • Stop taking and call your doctor right away if you suddenly lose vision or your vision becomes blurry or distorted.
  • Stop taking and call your doctor right away if you suddenly lose hearing.
  • This medicine is not for women or children under 18 years old.
  • Avoid drinking a lot of alcohol (e.g., more than 900 ml beer or 350 ml wine) while on this medicine, as it can cause dizziness.
  • Sexual activity can be hard on your heart; tell your doctor if you have heart problems.
  • Tell your doctor if you have blood disorders (like sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, leukemia), a deformed penis, or severe liver or kidney problems.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose already in mild renal impairment. Reduce the dose in liver impairment. Significant adverse reactions include hypotension, ortostatic hypotension, headache and visual disturbances. Consider the numerous potential interactions,especially with nitrates. Avoid grapefruit.
