How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one 10 mg tablet before sexual activity; your doctor may prescribe 20 mg if the 10 mg dose is not effective enough.

Method

Take the tablet whole with water, at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. It can be taken with or without food and its effect can last up to 36 hours.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to tadalafil or any other ingredients in it.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are using medicines called nitrates (e.g., for chest pain), as Tadalafil Orion can greatly increase their effects.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have a severe heart condition or have had a heart attack in the last 90 days.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have had a stroke in the last 6 months.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have very low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure.

  • Do not take this medicine if you have ever had vision loss due to a condition called 'stroke in the eye' (NAION).
  • Do not take this medicine if you are taking riociguat (a medicine for high blood pressure in the lungs).
  • If you have heart problems, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, as sexual activity can put strain on your heart.
  • Tell your doctor if you have sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, leukemia, a deformed penis, severe liver problems, or severe kidney problems.
  • Stop taking this medicine and see a doctor right away if you get an allergic reaction with a rash.
  • Stop taking this medicine and see a doctor right away if you get chest pain (do not take nitrates).
  • Stop taking this medicine and see a doctor right away if you have an erection that lasts longer than 4 hours and is painful.
  • Stop taking this medicine and see a doctor right away if you experience sudden vision loss, blurred, or distorted vision.
  • Stop taking this medicine and see a doctor right away if you experience sudden hearing decrease or loss.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose already in mild renal impairment. Reduce the dose in liver impairment. Significant adverse reactions include hypotension, ortostatic hypotension, headache and visual disturbances. Consider the numerous potential interactions,especially with nitrates. Avoid grapefruit.
