How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is two 20 mg tablets once a day.

Method

Take both tablets at the same time, one after the other. Swallow them whole with water. You can take them with or without food.

Important

The maximum daily dose is two 20 mg tablets (40 mg), unless your doctor tells you to take only one 20 mg tablet due to liver or kidney problems.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Headache, flushing, stuffy or blocked nose, nausea, indigestion (stomach pain), muscle pain, back pain, arm and leg pain, blurred vision, low blood pressure, nosebleeds, vomiting, increased or unusual uterine bleeding, facial swelling, acid reflux, migraine, irregular heartbeat, fainting.
RARE
  • Seizures, temporary memory loss, hives, heavy sweating, bleeding from the penis, blood in semen and/or urine, high blood pressure, fast heartbeat, sudden heart-related death, ringing in the ears, partial or complete vision loss in one or both eyes, severe allergic reaction (swelling of face and throat), sudden hearing loss.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to tadalafil or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you are using nitrate medicines (e.g., for chest pain), as Tadalafil AOP can make these medicines work too strongly.
  • Do not take if you have ever lost your vision due to a condition called 'stroke in the eye' (NAION).
  • Stop taking this medicine and call your doctor right away if your vision suddenly changes or you lose it.
  • Call your doctor right away if you experience sudden hearing loss or ringing in your ears.

  • Avoid drinking large amounts of alcohol as it can lower your blood pressure and cause dizziness.
  • Do not stop taking your tablets unless your doctor tells you to.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose already in mild renal impairment. Reduce the dose in liver impairment. Significant adverse reactions include hypotension, ortostatic hypotension, headache and visual disturbances. Consider the numerous potential interactions,especially with nitrates. Avoid grapefruit.
