Tadalafil Accord is a medicine that helps adult men with erectile dysfunction get and keep an erection when sexually aroused, and it also treats high blood pressure in the lungs (pulmonary hypertension) by relaxing blood vessels.

How to Use

Dosage

For erectile dysfunction, the usual dose is one 10 mg or 20 mg tablet taken before sexual activity. For pulmonary hypertension, the usual dose is two 20 mg tablets taken once a day, or one 20 mg tablet daily if you have liver or kidney problems.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than one dose per day.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to tadalafil or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take if you are using nitrate medicines for chest pain, as Tadalafil Accord can dangerously increase their effects.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have a serious heart condition, have had a heart attack in the last 3 months, or a stroke in the last 6 months.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
  • Stop taking this medicine and see a doctor right away if you experience sudden vision loss, blurred vision, or distorted vision.

  • If you have an erection that lasts longer than 4 hours, seek immediate medical help.
  • Sexual activity can be a risk for people with heart problems, so discuss this with your doctor.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose already in mild renal impairment. Reduce the dose in liver impairment. Significant adverse reactions include hypotension, ortostatic hypotension, headache and visual disturbances. Consider the numerous potential interactions,especially with nitrates. Avoid grapefruit.
