Symbicort is an inhaler that helps adults with COPD breathe easier by opening airways and reducing inflammation in the lungs.
The usual dose is 2 puffs twice a day (morning and evening).
Shake the inhaler, put the mouthpiece in your mouth, breathe in slowly and deeply while pressing the dose counter, hold your breath, then rinse your mouth with water and spit it out. Use every day as your doctor told you.
Do not take more than 4 puffs per day (2 puffs twice a day).
Suitable for older adults. Consider possible systemic adverse effects with high doses. (updated 15.5.2023)
