How to Use

Dosage

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Visible muscle twitches under the skin.
  • Muscle pain after surgery (your doctor will monitor this).
  • Mild allergic reactions, such as itching, hives, or fainting.
  • Increased pressure inside the eye, which may cause headache or blurred vision.
  • Increased pressure inside the stomach.
  • Changes in heart rate (faster or slower).
  • Low blood pressure.
  • Signs of muscle damage in blood or urine (protein).
  • High potassium levels in the blood.
  • Skin redness or rash.
RARE
  • Difficulty breathing.
  • High body temperature.
  • Difficulty opening the mouth.
  • Severe swelling (Quincke's edema).
  • Cardiac arrest.
  • Very high or very low blood pressure.
  • Too much saliva or mucus.
  • Temporary stop in breathing.
  • More serious muscle damage.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to suxamethonium chloride or any other ingredients in it.
  • This medicine should not be given if you are awake or conscious.
  • Tell your doctor if you or a family member has ever had a very high body temperature (malignant hyperthermia) after anesthesia.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have high potassium levels in your blood.
  • Tell your doctor if you have recently had a serious injury, severe burns, prolonged bed rest, or have a muscle-weakening disease.
