How to Use
Dosage
The recommended dose for adults is one tablet; some patients may need two. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
Method
Swallow the tablet whole with water. Take it as soon as you feel a migraine attack starting, but you can take it at any stage of the attack. Do not take it to prevent a migraine.
Important
Do not take more than 300 mg (six tablets) within 24 hours. You can take a second tablet after at least 2 hours if symptoms return.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Pain, pressure, or tightness in the chest, throat, or other body parts.
- •Numbness, tingling, or feeling warm or cold.
- •Dizziness, drowsiness.
- •Temporary increase in blood pressure, flushing.
- •Difficulty breathing.
- •Nausea, vomiting.
- •Muscle pain.
- •Feeling weak or tired.
RARE
- •Breast pain.
Important Warnings
- Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to sumatriptan or any other ingredient.
- Do not take if you have heart problems, such as a heart attack, angina, or narrowed blood vessels in the heart.
- Do not take if you have had a stroke or a mini-stroke (TIA).
- Do not take if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure or severe liver disease.
- Do not take with other migraine medicines containing ergotamine or other triptans (like naratriptan or zolmitriptan).

- Do not take if you have used MAO inhibitors (for depression) in the last two weeks.
- Seek immediate medical help if you experience chest pain, tightness, or pressure that does not go away or gets worse after taking this medicine.
