Sumatriptan Accord is a medicine that narrows widened blood vessels in the brain, thereby relieving migraine-related headaches.
The usual dose is one 50 mg tablet for a migraine attack, but your doctor may prescribe 100 mg.
Swallow the tablet whole with water as soon as a migraine starts; do not chew or crush it.
Do not take more than 300 mg in a 24-hour period.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Consider adverse effects on the heart and the cardiovascular system. (updated 14.4.2025)
