This medicine helps you wake up faster and breathe on your own sooner after muscle relaxants used during surgery.
Your doctor decides your dose based on your weight and how much muscle relaxant is still affecting you. The usual dose for adults and children 2-17 years old is 2-4 mg per kg of body weight.
An anesthesiologist will give you this medicine as a single injection into a vein.
For adults, up to 16 mg per kg can be given if a very fast recovery from muscle relaxants is needed.
