How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your dose based on tests, starting with a small dose and slowly increasing it every 2-4 weeks.

Method

Take one tablet by mouth each morning on an empty stomach, at least half an hour before breakfast, with some water. For infants, crush the tablet and mix with a small amount of water just before giving it, at least half an hour before their first meal.

Important

The highest daily dose for adults is usually 200 micrograms, but your doctor will tell you your exact dose.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it or any of its parts.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have untreated problems with your adrenal or pituitary glands, or an overactive thyroid.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have a sudden serious heart problem, like a heart attack or heart swelling.
  • If you are pregnant, do not use Striroxin with medicines that stop your thyroid from working.
  • Tell your doctor if you have heart problems such as chest pain, a weak heart, a fast or uneven heartbeat, high blood pressure, or blocked arteries.

  • Do not use this medicine for weight loss. It won't work for that and can cause very bad or dangerous side effects if you take too much, especially with some diet pills.
