Striroxin is a synthetic thyroid hormone used to treat thyroid gland diseases and dysfunctions, acting like the body's natural thyroid hormones.
For adults, the usual daily dose for hormone replacement is 100-200 micrograms, but your doctor will determine your exact dose based on your condition.
Take the tablet whole with a small amount of water on an empty stomach in the morning, at least 30 minutes before breakfast. For infants, crush the tablet just before use, mix with a small amount of water, and give it at least 30 minutes before their first meal.
Do not exceed 300 micrograms per day, unless specifically instructed by your doctor for certain conditions like thyroid cancer.
Suitable for older adults. Calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium and aluminium reduce absorption. (updated 6.11.2023)
