How to Use

Dosage

For adults and children over 6 years: 1 lozenge every 2 to 3 hours as needed.

Method

Let the lozenge slowly dissolve in your mouth. Do not chew or swallow whole.

Important

Do not take more than 12 lozenges in 24 hours.

Possible Side Effects

  • Swelling of the face or lips (angioedema)
  • Hives
  • Difficulty breathing (bronchospasm)
  • A drop in blood pressure
  • Fainting

  • Feeling sick (nausea)
  • An uncomfortable feeling in the mouth or throat, including burning, stinging, or swelling

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Strepsils Citrus if you are allergic to 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, amylmetacresol, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • If you have diabetes, be aware that Strepsils Citrus contains isomalt and maltitol, which are sugars.
  • If your symptoms do not get better within 3 days or get worse, contact a doctor or other healthcare professional.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, think you might be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
  • Taking many lozenges in one day might have a mild laxative effect.

  • The citrus flavor in the lozenge contains ingredients that can cause allergic reactions.
  • Taking too many Strepsils Citrus lozenges can cause stomach upset. If you take too much, or if a child accidentally takes this medicine, contact a doctor, hospital, or poison control center immediately.
