How to Use

Dosage

Take one lozenge and suck it slowly. If needed, take another lozenge every 3-6 hours.

Method

Move the lozenge around in your mouth while sucking. It should start working within 30 minutes.

Important

Do not take more than 5 lozenges in 24 hours.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Dizziness, headache
  • Throat irritation, sore throat
  • Mouth ulcers or pain in mouth
  • Unusual or unpleasant feeling in mouth (like warmth, burning, tingling)
  • Nausea, diarrhea
  • Tingling and itching sensation in skin
RARE
  • Drowsiness, feeling sleepy, or difficulty sleeping
  • Blisters in mouth or throat, numbness of throat
  • Bloating, stomach pain, gas, constipation, indigestion, vomiting
  • Dry mouth, changes in taste, burning sensation in mouth
  • Rash, itchy skin, fever, pain
  • Worsening of asthma, wheezing, shortness of breath, reduced throat sensation
  • Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis)
  • Anemia, low blood platelets (which can cause bruising and bleeding)
  • Swelling, high blood pressure, heart failure or heart attack
  • Severe skin reactions (like blistering, peeling skin, Stevens-Johnson syndrome)
  • Liver inflammation (hepatitis)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to flurbiprofen, aspirin, or other similar painkillers (NSAIDs), or if you've had asthma, wheezing, breathing problems, a runny nose, swollen face, or itchy rash after taking them.
  • Do not take if you currently have or have had stomach ulcers, bleeding in the stomach or intestines, severe colon inflammation, or other bleeding disorders.
  • Do not take if you are taking high doses of aspirin or other NSAIDs (like ibuprofen or celecoxib).
  • Do not take if you are in the last three months of pregnancy, or if you have severe heart, kidney, or liver problems.
  • Stop taking this medicine and call a doctor right away if you get signs of a serious allergic reaction (like rash, swelling of face/tongue, trouble breathing), severe skin reactions (like peeling skin or blisters), or unusual stomach bleeding.

  • Do not take for more than 3 days without talking to a doctor. Do not give to children under 12. Avoid alcohol as it can increase the risk of stomach bleeding.
