How to Use

Method
This medicine is given as an injection or a slow drip (infusion) into a vein, always by a healthcare professional after it has been mixed with other medicines.
Important
Your doctor will set the maximum amount you can receive each day, based on your treatment. Too much can be harmful.
Possible Side Effects
RARE
- •Breakdown of red blood cells (hemolysis), which can cause kidney problems. This happens only if the medicine is used alone or in solutions not balanced with your blood.
Important Warnings
- Never use Sterile Water Baxter Viaflo by itself. It must always be mixed with other medicines.
- Using it alone or in too large amounts can damage your red blood cells (hemolysis) because its concentration is not the same as your blood.
- Do not use if the solution looks cloudy, has particles, or if the package is damaged.
- Always read the patient information leaflet for the medicines that are mixed with Sterile Water Baxter Viaflo.
- Take the bag out of its outer wrapper just before use and use it right away once opened.
