How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one tablet once a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, preferably in the morning before breakfast, at the same time each day.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Swelling (fluid retention)
  • Cold-like symptoms (stuffy nose, sore throat), nosebleeds
  • Allergic reactions (like rash, itching)
  • Headache, dizziness, spinning sensation, tingling skin, tiredness
  • Cough, shortness of breath
  • Stomach problems like nausea, vomiting, constipation, gas, indigestion, diarrhea, stomach pain, altered taste
  • Joint pain, muscle pain, muscle cramps, back pain
  • Weakness, fast heartbeat (palpitations), flushing of face and neck
RARE
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, making it hard to breathe (angioedema)
  • Severe skin rashes, hives, blistering, or peeling skin (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis)
  • Muscle weakness, pain, tenderness, or red-brown urine, especially with fever (rhabdomyolysis), which can damage kidneys
  • Weakness in arms or legs, or trouble speaking (signs of stroke)
  • Severe dizziness or fainting due to very low blood pressure
  • Unusually fast or irregular heartbeat, chest pain (angina pectoris), or heart attack
  • Sudden wheezing, chest pain, or shortness of breath
  • Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas), causing severe stomach and back pain and feeling very unwell
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), unexpected bleeding or bruising (signs of liver problems)
  • Skin rash often starting as red, itchy patches on the face, arms, or legs (erythema multiforme), or a lupus-like syndrome
  • Loss of appetite, weight gain or loss
  • Nightmares, trouble sleeping, mood changes, anxiety, depression
  • Numbness, tingling, or reduced feeling in hands, feet, or limbs; memory loss
  • Blurred vision
  • Sneezing or runny nose from inflammation
  • Burping, dry mouth
  • Severe itching, red patches, skin discoloration, blisters, hives, light sensitivity, hair loss
  • Kidney problems, problems urinating, increased need to urinate at night or more often
  • Inability to get an erection, breast discomfort or growth in men
  • Neck pain, muscle fatigue
  • General feeling of being unwell, tremors, fainting, falls, chest pain, fever, increased sweating, general pain
  • Fast heart rate (tachycardia)
  • Purple spots on the skin (vasculitis, inflammation of blood vessels)
  • Sudden kidney failure or less/no urine production
  • Dark urine, muscle cramps, confusion, and seizures (can be signs of a hormone imbalance called SIADH)
  • Worsening of psoriasis
  • Confusion
  • Unexpected bleeding or bruising
  • Blockage of bile ducts (yellowing of skin and whites of eyes)
  • Tendon injury
  • Nerve disorder causing weakness, tingling, and numbness
  • Skin rash or mouth sores (lichenoid drug reaction)
  • Rare lung inflammation (eosinophilic pneumonia)
  • Hearing loss
  • Increased muscle stiffness
  • Swollen gums
  • Swelling of the stomach (gastritis)
  • Persistent muscle weakness
  • Tremors, stiff posture, mask-like face, slow or shuffling walk (Parkinsonism-like symptoms)
  • Discoloration, numbness, and pain in fingers or toes (Raynaud's phenomenon)
  • Myasthenia gravis (general muscle weakness, sometimes affecting breathing)
  • Ocular myasthenia (muscle weakness in the eyes)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to atorvastatin (a statin), perindopril (an ACE inhibitor), amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker), or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have a liver disease or abnormal liver function test results without a known cause.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Women who can become pregnant must use effective birth control.
  • Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice, as it can increase the effects of this medicine.
  • Avoid drinking large amounts of alcohol while taking this medicine.
