How to Use

Dosage

One tablet per day.

Method

Swallow the tablet with a glass of water, preferably in the morning before breakfast.

Important

Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Swelling (fluid retention), especially in the ankles.
  • Headache, dizziness, tingling sensation, fatigue, and weakness.
  • Nausea, vomiting, constipation, flatulence, diarrhea, or stomach pain.
  • Muscle and joint pain, muscle spasms, and back pain.
  • Allergic reactions like rash or itching.
  • Heart palpitations or flushing (reddening of face/neck).
  • Abnormal liver blood tests.
  • Blurred or double vision, ringing in ears (tinnitus).
  • Increased blood sugar levels.
  • Cough or shortness of breath.
RARE
  • Mood changes, anxiety, depression, and sleep problems (nightmares, insomnia).
  • Numbness, tingling, or pain in arms and legs, memory loss.
  • Severe skin reactions (e.g., widespread rash, hives, skin peeling, blisters), hair loss, sensitivity to sunlight.
  • Kidney problems, changes in urination frequency or amount, erectile dysfunction, breast enlargement in men.
  • Tremors, fainting, chest pain, fever, increased sweating, fast heart rate.
  • Jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes), unexpected bleeding or bruising, dark urine, muscle cramps, confusion, seizures.
  • Persistent muscle weakness, Parkinson's-like symptoms (stiff posture, slow movements), Raynaud's phenomenon (color changes, numbness in fingers/toes), Myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness disorder).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to this medicine or its ingredients, or to similar drugs like statins, ACE inhibitors, or calcium channel blockers.
  • Do not take if you have liver disease or unexplained abnormal liver test results.
  • Stop immediately and contact a doctor if you experience angioedema (swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat making breathing or swallowing difficult).
  • Do not take if you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking fusidic acid (an antibiotic), as this combination can cause severe muscle problems.
