How to Use

Dosage

The typical dose for adults is between 150 and 1600 MBq, depending on the type of scan.

Method

STAMICIS is given as an injection into a vein in your arm or foot.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 1600 MBq for a one-day heart study.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to STAMICIS or any of its ingredients.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have kidney or liver problems, or have a heart condition.
  • For heart scans, you must fast for at least 4 hours before the scan.
  • Drink plenty of water before the scan and pee often afterward to help the medicine leave your body.
  • Avoid close contact with young children and pregnant women for 24 hours after the injection.
