How to Use

Dosage

Adults and children over 10 kg: 1 vial per day. Children under 10 kg: 1 ml (1/10 of vial content) per kg of body weight per day.

Method

Soluvit is first dissolved and then added to nutrient solutions given into a vein; it must not be given undiluted.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 1 vial for adults and children over 10 kg; for children under 10 kg, it is 1 ml (1/10 of vial content) per kg of body weight.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Allergic reactions, including severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Soluvit if you are allergic to thiamine, folic acid, methylparahydroxybenzoate, or any other ingredients.
  • Folic acid in Soluvit can hide the signs of a certain type of anemia (pernicious anemia).
  • Soluvit contains biotin, which can affect lab test results; tell your doctor or laboratory staff if you are taking this medicine before blood tests.
  • Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) may reduce the effect of levodopa, a medicine used for Parkinson's disease.
  • Folic acid may lower the level of phenytoin, a medicine used for epilepsy, in your blood.

  • Methylparahydroxybenzoate in Soluvit can cause allergic reactions and rarely asthma-like spasms in the airways.
  • Talk to your doctor or nurse if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant before using this medicine.
