How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 5 mg once a day, unless your doctor tells you to take 10 mg.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. You can take it with or without food. Do not crush the tablet.

Important

Do not take more than 10 mg in a single day.

  • Decreased appetite
  • High potassium levels in the blood, possibly causing irregular heartbeat
  • Increased eye pressure
  • Changes in heart's electrical activity (ECG), irregular or fast heartbeat, feeling your heart beat
  • Voice problems
  • Liver problems
  • Muscle weakness
  • Kidney problems

Important Warnings

  • You have trouble passing urine or emptying your bladder.
  • You have severe stomach or bowel problems.
  • You have myasthenia gravis (a muscle weakness disease).
  • You have uncontrolled glaucoma (high pressure in your eyes).
  • You are allergic to solifenacin or any other ingredient in this medicine.

  • You are having dialysis treatment.
  • You have severe liver disease.
  • You have severe kidney disease or moderate liver problems AND are taking medicines that can slow down how your body gets rid of Solifenacin Stada.
  • Stop taking this medicine and seek medical help right away if you get severe allergic reactions or serious skin issues (like blisters or peeling skin).
  • Stop taking this medicine and seek medical help right away if you get angioedema (swelling under the skin, often on the face, with breathing difficulties).

Use in Elderly Patients

Category D

Avoid use in older adults. Anticholinergic. Reduce the dose in severe renal impairment. Significant adverse effects include tachycardia, confusion and cognitive impairment.. Consider the risk of QT prolongation especially when combined with other QT-prolonging drugs. Increases risk of falls. Reduces the effectiveness of drugs for Alzheimer’s disease. (updated 25.11.2024)
