How to Use
Dosage
Your doctor will determine your specific dose, which varies based on your condition.
Method
Take one capsule on an empty stomach with plenty of water. Drink a lot of water the day after treatment. For small children, the capsule may be given with pureed food.

- •Reduced or absent parathyroid hormone (tingling, muscle cramps)
- •Thyroid hormone deficiency in offspring
- •Abnormal liver function
- •Severe or temporary overactive thyroid
- •Cancer (e.g., bladder, colon, or stomach cancer)
- •Permanent or severe reduction in bone marrow blood cell production
- •Increased parathyroid hormone production
- •Tracheal inflammation and/or throat narrowing
- •Widespread lung fibrosis
- •Difficulty breathing or wheezing
- •Pneumonia
- •Vocal cord paralysis, hoarseness, or difficulty producing sound
- •Mouth and throat pain

Important Warnings
- Do not take if you are allergic to sodium iodide or any other ingredients in this medicine.
- Do not take if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
- Tell your doctor if you have difficulty swallowing, a blocked esophagus, stomach problems, or slow stomach or bowel function.
- Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems or difficulty urinating.
- Follow a low-iodine diet before treatment.
