How to Use
Dosage
1 sachet (12 g) once or twice a day.
Method
Dissolve the powder from one sachet (12 g) in 200 ml (a glass) of liquid (water, juice, tea, or coffee) right before taking it.
Important
The maximum daily dose is 10 sachets (120 g), used for specific conditions like very hard stools and only for 1-3 days.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON

RARE

- •Problems with body salts and dehydration (especially in older people)
Important Warnings
- Do not take if you are allergic to macrogol.
- Do not take if you have a blockage or hole in your bowel, or a serious inflammatory bowel disease (like Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis).
- Contact a doctor right away if your constipation gets worse quickly, or if you have sudden stomach pain or bleeding from your rectum.
- Talk to your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, or if you take water pills (diuretics) and get diarrhea.
- If you need to thicken liquids to swallow safely, Smoothlax might stop the thickener from working.
