Method

This medicine is given into a vein as an infusion (drip) by medical staff.

Important

The maximum daily dose for adults and adolescents (12-18 years) is 31 ml per kg of body weight. For children aged 2-11 years, the dose should be adjusted regularly, with a recommended maximum daily dose of 31 ml/kg.

  • Feeling cold or hot
  • Pale skin
  • Bluish lips and skin (due to lack of oxygen in blood)
  • Neck, back, bone, chest, and lower back pain

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to fish, eggs, peanuts, or soy, as this medicine contains soy oil.
  • Do not use if you have too much fat in your blood.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver or kidney problems and are not on dialysis.
  • Do not use if you have blood clotting problems, especially hemophagocytic syndrome, or problems using amino acids.

  • Do not use if you are in acute shock.
  • Do not use if you have uncontrolled high blood sugar or too much fluid in your body, especially fluid in your lungs or untreated heart failure.
  • Do not use if you are in an unstable condition, such as after severe injuries, untreated diabetes, heart attack, stroke, blood clot, metabolic acidosis, severe infection, coma, or severe dehydration.
  • Do not use for newborns or children under 2 years old.
  • If you get fever, rash, swelling, difficulty breathing, chills, sweating, nausea, or vomiting during the infusion, tell medical staff immediately. These might be signs of an allergic reaction or that you received too much medicine.
