Important

The maximum daily dose is 35 ml per kg of body weight.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • A slight increase in body temperature.
RARE
  • High liver values in blood.
  • Loss of appetite.
  • Nausea.
  • Vomiting.
  • Chills.
  • Dizziness.
  • Headache.
  • Low or high blood pressure.
  • Shortness of breath.
  • Heart palpitations (fast heartbeat).
  • Allergic reactions (may include swelling, fever, drop in blood pressure, skin rash, hives, redness, headache).
  • Feeling hot or cold.
  • Pale skin.
  • Bluish lips and skin (due to lack of oxygen in blood).
  • Pain in neck, back, bones, chest, or lower back.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to any ingredient, fish, eggs, peanuts, or soy.
  • Do not use if you have very high fat levels in your blood.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver problems.
  • Do not use if you have blood clotting problems.
  • Do not use if your body cannot properly process amino acids.

  • Do not use if you have uncontrolled high blood sugar.
  • Do not use if you have fluid in your lungs.

  • Do not use if you have a certain immune system disorder (hemophagocytic syndrome).
  • Do not use if you are in an unstable condition, such as severe injury, uncontrolled diabetes, heart attack, stroke, blood clot, too much acid in blood, severe infection, unconsciousness, or severe dehydration.
  • This medicine is not for children under 2 years old.
  • Tell healthcare staff immediately if you get fever, rash, swelling, breathing problems, chills, sweating, nausea, or vomiting during the infusion, as these could be signs of an allergic reaction or too much medicine.
  • Talk to your doctor before using this medicine if you have kidney problems, diabetes, pancreas inflammation, liver problems, thyroid problems, or blood poisoning (sepsis).
