How to Use

Dosage

Take one tablet every day.

Method

Take one tablet at the same time every day, with a small amount of water, with or without food. Take 24 white active tablets, then 4 green placebo tablets, and start a new strip immediately without a break.

Important

One tablet per day.

  • Anemia (low red blood cell count), fatigue, fluid retention
  • Dizziness
  • Vomiting, diarrhea, constipation
  • Vaginal infections
  • Changes in blood test results (e.g., potassium or liver enzyme levels)
  • Changes in appetite
  • Benign uterine growths (fibroids)
  • Low mood, depression, anxiety
  • Missed periods, changes in menstrual bleeding, lower abdominal pain, ovarian cysts, vaginal discharge and vaginal dryness
  • Hair loss, increased sweating, itching, rash, oily skin (seborrhea), skin inflammation
  • Increased blood pressure, hot flashes
  • Hypersensitivity (allergic reaction)
  • Poor contact lens tolerance
  • Weight loss
  • Excessive urine production
  • Breast cyst, discharge from breasts, abnormal Pap test result, genital itching

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to drospirenone or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have or have had a blood clot in your leg (deep vein thrombosis) or lungs (pulmonary embolism).
  • Do not use if you have liver disease or kidney failure.
  • Do not use if you have or are suspected of having cancer sensitive to sex hormones, such as breast cancer.
  • Do not use if you have unexplained vaginal bleeding.

  • Slinda does not protect against HIV (AIDS) or other sexually transmitted diseases.
  • If you have chloasma (pigment spots on the skin), avoid sunlight and UV radiation while taking Slinda.
  • Check your breasts regularly and contact a doctor if you feel a lump.
  • Contact a doctor immediately if you have symptoms of depression or mood swings, as depression can be serious.
  • Contact a doctor or healthcare professional immediately if you notice signs of a blood clot (e.g., severe leg pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, or coughing up blood).
