How to Use

Dosage

Take 1 tablet every 8 hours.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water. For faster effect, take it at least 30 minutes before a meal.

Important

Do not take more than 3 tablets in 24 hours. Do not use for more than 5 days.

  • Gas (flatulence)
  • Pain
  • Fever, chills, or generally feeling unwell
  • Abnormal blood test results
  • Retching (feeling like vomiting without actually doing so)
  • Feeling of pressure or swelling in the stomach
  • Stomach inflammation
  • Skin reactions (like itchy rash)
  • Memory loss
  • Swelling of the face
  • Swelling of the lips and throat
  • Stomach ulcer, rupture or bleeding, which may appear as bloody vomit or black stools
  • Prostate problems
  • Liver inflammation (hepatitis) or liver damage
  • Sudden kidney failure
  • Slow heart rate
  • Seizures
  • Severe allergic reactions (e.g., breathing difficulties, wheezing, skin swelling) and shock (sudden circulatory collapse)
  • Temporary loss of consciousness (fainting)
  • Seeing or hearing things that are not real (hallucinations)
  • Fluid buildup in the body or swollen ankles
  • Loss or change of appetite
  • Acne
  • Back pain
  • Frequent or less frequent urination, difficulty or pain when urinating
  • Menstrual problems
  • Unusual sensations (e.g., itching, tingling, or numbness)
  • Tremors, muscle twitching, uncoordinated movements, muscle weakness
  • Confusion
  • Sleep problems and nightmares
  • Problems with perception
  • Blurred vision or small pupils
  • Shortness of breath
  • Inflammation of the pancreas
  • Kidney problems
  • Low white blood cell count
  • Low blood platelet count
  • Severe skin reactions (e.g., open sores on skin, mouth, eyes, genitals like Stevens-Johnson Syndrome or Lyell's syndrome)
  • Breathing difficulties due to narrowing of airways
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Skin sensitivity
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Serotonin syndrome (symptoms like agitation, hallucinations, coma, fever, fast heart rate, unstable blood pressure, muscle stiffness, coordination problems, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea)
  • Speech disorder
  • Extremely wide pupils
  • Low blood sugar
  • Hiccups

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to Skudexa or its ingredients, aspirin, or other NSAID pain relievers.
  • Do not take if you have had asthma attacks, severe allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, or wheezing after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs.
  • Do not take if you have stomach or intestinal ulcers, bleeding, or if you have had these problems before, especially due to NSAID use.
  • Do not take if you have chronic digestive problems (like indigestion, heartburn) or inflammatory bowel disease (like Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis).
  • Do not take if you have severe heart failure, moderate to severe kidney problems, or severe liver disease.

  • Do not take if you have a bleeding disorder or problems with blood clotting.
  • Do not take if you are severely dehydrated (lost a lot of body fluids).
  • Do not take if you have acute poisoning from alcohol, sleeping pills, other pain medicines, or medicines affecting mood/emotions.
  • Do not take if you are taking or have taken MAO inhibitors (medicines for depression) in the last 14 days.
  • Do not take if you have epilepsy or seizures, as the risk of seizures may increase.
  • Do not take if you have severe breathing problems.
  • Do not take if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Avoid alcohol while taking Skudexa, as it can make the medicine's effects stronger.
  • Avoid taking this medicine if you have chickenpox.
  • Skudexa is not for children or adolescents under 18 years old.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category D

Avoid use in older adults. Serotonergic. Prodrug. Genotype affects the response. Reduce the dose in moderately severe and severe renal impairment. Increases the risk of confusion and falling. Need for laxative is often necessary. Consider potential interactions. (updated 18.8.2025)
