How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one 100 mg tablet.

Method

Take it once a day by mouth. You can take it with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than one 100 mg tablet per day. If you have kidney problems, your doctor may give you a lower dose (like 25 mg or 50 mg).

  • Lung disease that causes swelling (interstitial lung disease)
  • Serious skin blisters (bullous pemphigoid)

Important Warnings

  • If you get bad stomach pain that goes to your back, with or without feeling sick or throwing up, stop taking this medicine and see a doctor right away. This could be a sign of a serious problem with your pancreas.
  • If you get a serious allergic reaction, like a rash, itchy skin bumps, skin blisters, or swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat that makes it hard to breathe or swallow, stop taking this medicine and get medical help at once.
  • Do not give this medicine to children under 18 years old.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had pancreas problems (like pancreatitis), gallstones, high fat levels in your blood (triglycerides), or problems with alcohol, as these can make pancreas problems worse.

  • Tell your doctor if you have type 1 diabetes, a serious diabetes problem called diabetic ketoacidosis, or any kidney problems.
  • If you see blisters on your skin, tell your doctor. This could be a sign of a skin condition called bullous pemphigoid, and your doctor may ask you to stop taking this medicine.
