How to Use

Dosage

One 100 mg film-coated tablet. Your doctor may prescribe a smaller dose (e.g., 25 mg or 50 mg) if you have kidney problems.

Method

Take once daily by mouth, with or without food.

Important

The usual maximum dose is 100 mg once daily, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Important Warnings

  • Stop taking Sitagliptin Zentiva and contact your doctor immediately if you have severe and persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without nausea and vomiting (these can be signs of pancreatitis).
  • Stop taking this medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you get a serious allergic reaction, such as a rash, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, or trouble breathing or swallowing.
  • If you take this medicine with a sulfonylurea or insulin, you might get low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Your doctor may need to adjust the doses of these other medicines.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant. Talk to your doctor before use.
  • This medicine may cause dizziness and drowsiness, which can affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. Be careful.
