How to Use

Dosage

One 100 mg tablet.

Method

Take by mouth once a day, with or without food.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 100 mg, unless your doctor prescribes a lower dose due to kidney problems.

Important Warnings

  • Stop taking this medicine and call your doctor right away if you have severe stomach pain that does not go away, with or without nausea and vomiting. These could be signs of a serious problem with your pancreas.
  • Stop taking this medicine and get medical help right away if you have a severe allergic reaction, such as a rash, hives, skin blistering or peeling, or swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat that makes it hard to breathe or swallow.
  • If you develop blisters on your skin, tell your doctor. This could be a sign of a skin condition called bullous pemphigoid.
  • If you take this medicine with other diabetes medicines like a sulfonylurea or insulin, you might get low blood sugar. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
