How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 100 mg once a day.

Method

Take this medicine by mouth, with or without food and drink.

Important

Do not take more than 100 mg in one day.

  • a type of lung disease
  • severe skin blisters (bullous pemphigoid)

Important Warnings

  • Stop taking this medicine and call your doctor right away if you get severe stomach pain that doesn't go away, with or without vomiting, as this could be a sign of pancreas inflammation (pancreatitis).
  • Stop taking this medicine and call your doctor right away if you get a severe allergic reaction like rash, hives, skin blisters, or swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat that makes it hard to breathe or swallow.
  • If you take this medicine with other diabetes medicines (like sulfonylurea or insulin), your blood sugar might get too low. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to sitagliptin or any other ingredient in it.
  • Tell your doctor if you have or have had problems with your pancreas, gallstones, alcohol problems, high triglycerides (a type of fat in your blood), type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis (a serious diabetes complication), or kidney disease.

  • If you notice blisters on your skin, tell your doctor, as this could be a sign of a skin condition called bullous pemphigoid. Your doctor may tell you to stop taking Sitagliptin Stada.
