How to Use

Dosage

One 100 mg tablet.

Method

Take by mouth once a day, with or without food. Your doctor may prescribe a lower dose if you have kidney problems.

Important

The maximum daily dose is one tablet. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Important Warnings

  • Stop taking this medicine and contact a doctor immediately if you experience severe, continuous stomach pain (pancreatitis) or skin blisters (bullous pemphigoid).
  • Tell your doctor if you have had pancreatitis, gallstones, high triglycerides, alcohol abuse, type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, kidney problems, or an allergic reaction to this medicine.
  • This medicine is not for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • If taken with sulfonylureas or insulin, this medicine may cause low blood sugar. Your doctor may adjust your dose.

Category C
