How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one 100 mg tablet once a day. If you have kidney problems, your doctor may prescribe a lower dose (such as 25 mg or 50 mg).

Method

Take by mouth, with or without food.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 100 mg.

  • Interstitial lung disease
  • Bullous pemphigoid (a type of skin blistering)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to sitagliptin or any other ingredients.
  • Stop taking and contact your doctor immediately if you experience severe, persistent stomach pain, possibly with nausea and vomiting, as these could be signs of pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas).
  • If you develop skin blisters, tell your doctor, as this could be a sign of a serious skin condition called bullous pemphigoid.
  • Stop taking and contact your doctor immediately if you have a severe allergic reaction (rash, hives, skin peeling, swelling of face, lips, tongue, throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing).
  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant or breastfeed.
