How to Use

Dosage

One 100 mg tablet once a day.

Method

Take the tablet by mouth, with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than one 100 mg tablet per day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Important Warnings

  • Sitagliptin Orion can cause inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis). Tell your doctor if you have had pancreatitis before.
  • If you get blisters on your skin, stop taking the medicine and tell your doctor. These could be a sign of a skin condition called bullous pemphigoid.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to sitagliptin or any other ingredient.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had gallstones, alcohol dependence, or very high levels of triglycerides (a type of fat) in your blood, as these can increase the risk of pancreatitis.
  • Children and adolescents under 18 years of age should not use this medicine.

  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant or breastfeed.
  • STOP taking Sitagliptin Orion and contact a doctor right away if you get severe, continuous stomach pain with nausea or vomiting. These could be signs of pancreatitis.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in moderately severe renal impairment. (updated 10.6.2024)
