How to Use

Dosage

One 100 mg tablet once a day.

Method

Take by mouth, with or without food.

Important

The usual maximum daily dose is 100 mg. Do not take more than prescribed.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to sitagliptin or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • This medicine may cause serious inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis). If you get severe stomach pain that does not go away, stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor right away.
  • If you develop blisters or peeling skin, stop taking this medicine and contact your doctor.
  • Tell your doctor if you have or have had problems with your pancreas (like pancreatitis), gallstones, alcoholism, very high levels of blood fats (triglycerides), type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis (a serious diabetes complication), or kidney problems.
  • If you have a severe allergic reaction (such as rash, hives, skin blisters, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat that makes it hard to breathe or swallow), stop taking this medicine and get medical help right away.

  • Children and teenagers under 18 years old should not use this medicine.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Category C
