How to Use

Dosage

One 100 mg tablet.

Method

Take by mouth once daily, with or without food. Do not chew or crush.

Important

The maximum daily dose is one 100 mg tablet. Your doctor may prescribe a lower dose if you have kidney problems.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to sitagliptin or any other ingredients.
  • Stop taking this medicine and call your doctor right away if you get severe, constant stomach pain with nausea or vomiting, as this could be a sign of pancreatitis (inflamed pancreas).
  • If you get a serious allergic reaction (like a rash, hives, swollen face, lips, tongue, throat, or trouble breathing), stop taking this medicine and call your doctor immediately.
  • If you develop skin blisters or peeling, tell your doctor. They might ask you to stop this medicine.
  • This medicine is not for children or adolescents under 18 years old.

  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • Tell your doctor if you have a history of pancreas problems (like pancreatitis), gallstones, heavy alcohol use, very high triglyceride levels, type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or kidney problems.
  • If you take this medicine with certain other diabetes drugs (sulfonylurea or insulin), your blood sugar might drop too low (hypoglycemia). Your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
  • While this medicine usually doesn't affect driving, some people might feel dizzy or drowsy, or have low blood sugar, which could affect your ability to drive or use machines safely. Be careful.
