Sirdalud and Sirdalud Retard are muscle relaxants that relieve painful muscle spasms and reduce muscle stiffness caused by spinal issues or neurological conditions.
Dosage is individually adjusted. For painful muscle spasms, the typical tablet dose is 2-4 mg three times daily. For muscle stiffness due to neurological conditions, treatment starts with up to 6 mg daily in three divided doses, and can be increased to 12-24 mg daily, divided into 3-4 doses. For prolonged-release capsules, the typical starting dose is one 6 mg capsule once daily, which can be gradually increased, and for most patients, 12 mg once daily is sufficient.
Tablets are taken 3 times a day; in severe cases, your doctor may prescribe an additional dose at night. Prolonged-release capsules are taken once a day.
The maximum daily dose for tablets is 36 mg. The maximum daily dose for prolonged-release capsules is 24 mg.
