How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you the exact dose. For painful muscle spasms, tablets are typically 2-4 mg three times a day. For muscle stiffness, the dose is adjusted individually, usually starting from 6 mg daily (for depot capsules) or 6 mg in divided doses (for tablets).

Method

Tablets are usually taken three times a day. Depot capsules are taken once a day.

Important

The maximum daily dose for tablets is 36 mg, and for depot capsules, it is 24 mg. Always follow your doctor's instructions.

Important Warnings

  • Always tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicines you are taking.
  • This medicine can cause a big drop in blood pressure, which might make you faint or feel dizzy.
  • Do not stop or change your dose without talking to your doctor first.
  • Tell your doctor if you have signs of liver problems, like feeling sick, not wanting to eat, or being very tired.
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category D

Avoid use in older adults. In severe renal impairment, administer only once a day. Significant adverse effects include sedation, hypotension and torsades de pointes ventricular tachycardia. Consider potential interactions. (updated 16.9.2024)
