Sirdalud/Sirdalud Retard is a muscle relaxant that reduces muscle stiffness by acting on the central nervous system.
For painful muscle spasms, usually 2-4 mg three times a day. For severe muscle stiffness, start with 2 mg three times a day, increasing slowly to 12-24 mg daily. Retard capsules: 6-12 mg once daily.
Tablets are usually taken 3 times a day; Retard capsules are taken once a day. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
For tablets, the maximum daily dose is 36 mg. For Retard capsules, the maximum daily dose is 24 mg.
Avoid use in older adults. In severe renal impairment, administer only once a day. Significant adverse effects include sedation, hypotension and torsades de pointes ventricular tachycardia. Consider potential interactions. (updated 16.9.2024)
