Seronil is an antidepressant from the SSRI group that helps to balance mood and relieve anxiety.
For adults, the usual starting dose is 20 mg once daily, but your doctor may adjust it based on your condition; for bulimia nervosa, the dose is usually 60 mg daily. For children (8-18 years old) with depression, the starting dose is 10 mg daily.
Take the tablet or capsule with a glass of water, with or without food; do not chew capsules, and tablets can be divided if needed.
The maximum daily dose for adults is generally 60 mg; for children, the doctor will determine the appropriate dose.
Avoid use in older adults. Serotonergic. A long-acting. After discontinuation, the effect lasts for several weeks. Significant adverse effects include insomnia, headache, dizziness, nausea, tachycardia and low serum sodium level. Increases risk of falls.
