How to Use

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Headache, tingling sensation, numbness

RARE
  • Allergic reactions
  • Nervousness, anxiety
  • Facial nerve paralysis, epilepsy, dizziness, tremor, restlessness, disorientation
  • Double vision, pupil dilation or constriction, drooping eyelid, sunken eyeball
  • Heart muscle dysfunction, cardiac arrest
  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
  • Itching, angioedema (swelling), tissue death
  • Increased blood pressure

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to articaine or any other ingredients.
  • Tell your doctor if you have untreated high blood pressure, severe heart disease, an AV-block, an overactive thyroid, or diabetes.
  • There is a risk of harmful effects if the injection goes into a blood vessel or into inflamed or infected tissue.
  • Inform your doctor if you are allergic to sulfites, as this medicine contains sodium metabisulfite which can cause serious allergic reactions or breathing problems.
  • Do not eat until the numbness has completely worn off to avoid accidentally biting your lips, cheeks, or tongue.
