How to Use

Dosage

Adults and children over 12 years: Press the spray head 1-2 times for one dose.

Method

Open your mouth wide, point the nozzle towards your throat, and press the spray head 1-2 times. Hold your breath while spraying.

Important

You can repeat the dose every two hours, 3-5 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) with symptoms like difficulty breathing, chest pain or tightness, dizziness, faintness, severe skin itching, raised skin rash, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat. These can be life-threatening.
  • Hives (urticaria)
  • Increased skin sensitivity to sunlight (photosensitivity)
  • Sudden uncontrolled narrowing of the airways in the lungs (bronchospasm)
  • Local irritation in the mouth
  • Mild burning sensation in the mouth
  • Burning sensation in the mouth lining
  • Numbness in the mouth lining

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Septabene if you are allergic to benzydamine hydrochloride, cetylpyridinium chloride, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use this medicine for more than 7 days.
  • If symptoms get worse or do not improve after 3 days, or if you get a fever, contact your doctor.
  • Long-term use of local medicines can cause sensitivity. If this happens, stop treatment.
  • Do not use Septabene with anionic compounds, found in some toothpastes. Avoid using it right before or after brushing your teeth.

  • Avoid direct contact with eyes. Do not breathe in the spray.
  • Septabene is not recommended for children under 12 years and should not be given to children under 6 years due to the dosage form.
  • Do not use other antiseptic products at the same time as Septabene.
  • Septabene is not recommended during pregnancy. Breastfeeding women should only use it after consulting a doctor.
