How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your specific dose based on your illness, height, weight, and any other treatments you are receiving.

Method

Sendoxan is given by a doctor or nurse as an injection directly into a vein (infusion), or sometimes as tablets. The infusion usually takes minutes to hours.

Your doctor will determine your appropriate maximum daily dose.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Changes in blood counts (e.g., too few white blood cells, which weakens immunity).
  • Nausea, vomiting.
  • Hair loss.
  • Fever.
  • Bladder inflammation, blood in urine.
  • Infections.
  • Chills, weakness, fatigue.
RARE
  • Pneumonia, blood poisoning.
  • Allergic reactions.
  • Loss of appetite.
  • Nerve-related symptoms (e.g., numbness, weakness, hearing loss, dizziness).
  • Heart problems (e.g., rapid heartbeat, heart muscle disease, heart failure).
  • Stomach and bowel problems (e.g., diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, mouth inflammation).
  • Reproductive problems (e.g., infertility, missed periods).
  • Serious blood disorders (e.g., acute leukemia, changes in other blood cells).
  • Skin reactions (e.g., rash, skin redness, blisters).
  • Liver problems (e.g., liver inflammation, jaundice).
  • Kidney problems (e.g., kidney failure).
  • General weakness, weight gain, swelling.
  • Headache, chest pain.
  • Blurred vision, eye inflammation.
  • Breathing difficulties, cough, shortness of breath.
  • Blood pressure changes (high or low).
  • Confusion, seizures.
  • Dehydration, low sodium.
  • Muscle pain, muscle cramps, muscle weakness.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Sendoxan if you are allergic to cyclophosphamide.
  • Tell your doctor if your bone marrow is not working well or if you have had chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
  • Tell your doctor if you have a bladder infection or difficulty urinating.
  • Do not use if you have an active infection.
  • Do not breastfeed or use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Discuss contraception with your doctor.
