How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will determine your exact dose based on your pain and other factors. Typical doses for adults are 2.5-15 mg intravenously or 5-20 mg (usually 10 mg) subcutaneously or intramuscularly.

Method

Sendolor is given as an injection into a vein, under the skin, or into a muscle. It can also be given as an infusion into the epidural space or intrathecally (into the spinal fluid).

Important

The maximum daily dose is determined by your doctor and depends on the administration method, typically not exceeding 10 mg per day for epidural use, but can be higher for other methods under medical supervision.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to morphine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have severe breathing problems (e.g., excessive mucus in airways, severe shortness of breath).
  • Do not use if you have acute liver disease.
  • This medicine can cause dependence, addiction, and tolerance, meaning you might need more to get the same effect.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you experience a severe skin reaction with blisters, widespread peeling, pus-filled spots, and fever.

  • Contact your doctor if you experience severe upper abdominal pain that may spread to your back, with nausea, vomiting, or fever, as these could be signs of pancreatitis.
