How to Use

Dosage

The doctor or nurse will give you 5-10 mg slowly into a vein. This may be repeated every 3-4 minutes if needed.

Method

This medicine is given as an injection directly into a vein.

Important

The total amount you receive in 24 hours should not be more than 150 mg.

  • High blood pressure

RARE
  • Irregular heartbeat (arrhythmias)
  • Inability to urinate (sudden urinary retention)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Sebadrin if you are allergic to ephedrine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure.
  • Tell your doctor if you have heart disease.
  • Tell your doctor if you have diabetes.
  • Tell your doctor if you have an overactive thyroid gland.

  • Tell your doctor if you have an enlarged prostate.
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe kidney problems.
  • Sebadrin should not be used in children under 12 years of age.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, talk to your doctor before using this medicine. It should not be used during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Avoid breastfeeding for two days after receiving this medicine.
