How to Use

Dosage

Generally, the ointment is used twice a day, but on the first day of treatment, it can be used up to four times a day. Once symptoms improve, once a day may be sufficient.

Method

Use Scheriproct Neo after bowel movements. Clean the anal area thoroughly. Apply a pea-sized amount of ointment with your finger around the anus. If the ointment is for the rectum, attach the plastic cannula to the tube, insert it into the rectum, and gently squeeze out a small amount. Clean the cannula carefully after each use.

Important

Up to four times daily on the first day of treatment.

Important Warnings

  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicines you are taking, including over-the-counter ones.
  • Some medicines, such as certain HIV medicines, can increase the effects of Scheriproct Neo; your doctor may want to monitor you more closely.
  • If you have a fungal infection, Scheriproct Neo treatment must be combined with antifungal medication.
  • Avoid getting the product in your eyes. Wash your hands thoroughly after each use.
  • Ingredients in Scheriproct Neo can damage latex products (like condoms), potentially reducing their effectiveness in preventing pregnancy or protecting against sexually transmitted infections.

  • Contact a doctor if you experience blurred vision or other vision disturbances.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a pregnancy, ask your doctor for advice before use. Avoid long-term use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to the active substances or other ingredients, or if you have a skin infection (such as tuberculosis, syphilis) or a viral disease (such as cowpox or chickenpox) in the treated area.
  • Do not use Scheriproct Neo continuously for more than 4 weeks without medical advice.
