How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your specific dose, usually starting with 20 mg given every 4 weeks.

Method

This medicine is given as an injection into your buttock muscle. For repeated use, the injection site should alternate between the left and right buttock.

Important

This is a long-acting injection given every 4 weeks, so there is no specific daily maximum dose. Follow your doctor's instructions for your periodic dose.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to octreotide or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Long-term use can lead to gallstones. Your doctor may check your gallbladder regularly.
  • If you have diabetes, this medicine can affect your blood sugar levels, so they should be checked regularly.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a family, discuss this with your doctor. Effective contraception is needed during treatment for women of childbearing age.
