Salofalk is an anti-inflammatory medicine used to treat and prevent flare-ups of mild to moderate ulcerative colitis, an inflammatory bowel disease.
For acute phases: 1 to 2 sachets (1500 mg each) once daily, preferably in the morning. For preventing relapse (high risk): 2 sachets (1500 mg each) once daily, preferably in the morning.
Place the granules on your tongue and swallow them whole, without chewing, with plenty of liquid.
The maximum daily dose for adults is 2 sachets (3000 mg mesalazine) for acute phases or high-risk relapse prevention.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Consider renal impairment. Do not use in severe renal impairment. Remember blood tests to monitor safety. (updated 20.5.2024)
